 The El Dorado Economic Development Board compromised to half a million dollars in economic development funding for the El Dorado Parks and Playgrounds Commission to begin improvements at some of the city’s recreational facilities.

 The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce will host the Union County Job Fair on Thursday, March 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the old El Dorado High School, 501 Timberlane.

 First Financial Bank will once again recognize the important work being done by nonprofit organizations in our community. The FFB Nonprofit Excellence Award will be presented during the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting, scheduled to be held on March 29 at the El Dorado Golf and Country Club.

 Thirty-two teams from 11 different cities will travel to El Dorado for the 6A State Basketball Tournament. The tournament will run from February 28 through March 3, 2012.
