For post-secondary education, South Arkansas Community College provides opportunities for students learning a trade, earning an associates degree, those preparing for a four-year college, and adults seeking further knowledge in a specific field. SouthArk also works very closely with local economic developers to make sure the local workforce is trained to perform the jobs that are available.

South Arkansas Community College offers the kinds of courses that make students and graduates job-ready. With two conveniently located campuses in El Dorado, SouthArk proves that college doesn’t have to be far away and expensive to be worthwhile. One of the best educational options in Arkansas, SouthArk saves the student much of the high cost of a college education by offering a broad selection of occupational programs to equip them with one or two years of training for a career in business or industry in a competitive workplace.

SouthArk offers both transfer and occupational curricula at below average costs for public high education. This enables students to continue working or find employment while pursuing advanced training locally. And general education coursework is readily transferable, so students can easily pursue baccalaureate studies at neighboring four-year institutions.

Online courses are offered in many disciplines with the number increasing every semester.  In addition, technical courses leading to certifications are available:  Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), A+ Certification, Network+, Leviton Cabling, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS).  Specific credits earned at SouthArk will transfew into a bachelor's degree plan at most other accredited colleges and universities nationwide.
