We appreciate your interest in the El Dorado Public Schools. This web site has been designed to provide you with an overview of what the El Dorado School District has to offer to our students and to our community.

El Dorado Public Schools are committed to "preparing our children for life", a statement that is taken quite literally. With over 4,500 students and more than 360 certified staff members. The El Dorado School District is recognized throughout the region and state for excellence in programs and services. El Dorado schools are constantly striving to change in response to the fast-pacedf world around us in order to meet the needs of our students.

Emphasis is placed on basic skills while at the same time, workforce preparation and advanced preparation for students is offered in a wide range of disciplines.

The Board of Education is committed to the maintenance of an educational atmosphere which will be conducive to good teaching and maximum achievement. In addition, the El Dorado Foundation has recently been established by members of the community to promote excellence in our schools.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or visit any of our district schools and observe firsthand the fine programs serving this community. We hope that you will join us and experience a proud tradition of

"preparing our children for life".

Sincerely,

Bob Watson, Superintendent
