SUMMARY:SAAC: “Spirit of the Tides” Ballet Camp
DESCRIPTION:Junior Camp dancers entering 1st through 4th grade\, or who have been enrolled in Ballet 1\, 2\, or 3 at SAAC\, will build their skills\, learn choreography\, and perform. Senior Camp dancers entering grades 5 and up\, or enrolled in SAAC’s Ballet 4 and 5\, are also invited to participate in this summer’s Ballet Camp experience. \nJunior campers (1st-4th grades) will attend from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. every day\, with the exception of Friday\, when they will stay through the 6:00 p.m. showcase. Bring a snack on Friday! \nSenior campers (grades 5 and up) will attend from 9am-2pm. Bring a lunch every day. Friday all dancers will stay through the 6 pm performance. \nSAAC Ballet Camps offer the unique opportunity to take not only classical ballet classes to develop technique\, but also perform in an original mini-ballet\, to help dancers cultivate expression and artistry. Dancers will be involved in all aspects of the production including costume design\, set construction\, and developing choreography. \nDancers of all experience levels are needed and encouraged; former ballet experience is not required\, as choreography will be created and adjusted to fit all levels of experience so that dancers feel comfortable and look good on stage. \nFormer SAAC dancers and dancers from all studios are welcome at Ballet Camp for the summer show. \nCost is $120/145
