DESCRIPTION:Clay artist Barbara Satterfield creates original ceramic sculptures and vessels inspired by\nnature\, often incorporating found objects or press molds of found objects she has gathered\nover decades. Primarily a coil builder\, she stretches her medium to coax clay forms into\nunusual compositions that lift up often-overlooked aspects of the natural world. Her\nfinishes range from borosilicate glazes to oil paints and encaustic. Her photography line\,\nOutside In\, provides digital images of her original work to share on a shelf\, tuck in a corner\,\nor grace a small space. Satterfield creates work in her home studio in Conway\, Arkansas\, and her work will be on display in SAAC’s Lobby Gallery from March 3 to March 26.

The exhibition opens with a public reception on March 5 from 5:30–7:00 PM. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday\, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. \nThe exhibition represents several years of shared artistic exploration as Burris and Tilley traveled and painted together. Working from direct observation\, the pair created landscapes\, still lifes\, and figurative works that document specific moments in time and place. Each painting includes its exact GPS location\, grounding every piece in a real-world experience while highlighting how two artists can interpret the same scene in entirely different ways.

Scheduled during each of the farm’s natural phases\, each workshop will focus on the beauty of the season.\n\nStudents can register for a single session for $80\, or all four for $320. All supplies will be provided\, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. The workshops are scheduled for March 21\, May 30\, September 19\, and November 28\, beginning at 9:00 a.m. each Saturday.

DESCRIPTION:During Spring Break\, many kids are left without a reliable source of food. The Spring Feed program produces 5\,000 sandwiches and sack lunches\, helping ensure our area youth are fed during the break. Lunches are prepped and delivered by volunteers the week of Spring Break for Union County youth. We would love to have you come out and volunteer\, either making sandwiches\, packing the sack lunches\, or delivering the meals to area apartments and churches! DESCRIPTION:The South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC) invites young creatives to spend part of their spring break exploring art\, nature\, and hands-on creativity during Spring Break Camp 2026 with Mike Means\, affectionately known as “Mr. Mike.” This three-day afternoon camp is open to students in 4th through 8th grades and will be held Tuesday\, March 24 through Thursday\, March 26\, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day. Light snacks will be provided. \nCampers will participate in a variety of engaging\, hands-on activities inspired by the natural world. Students will create vibrant chalk art\, construct wind chimes\, birdhouses\, and bug hotels\, and complete fine art puzzles\, among other projects.
