Oversees the professional staffs of the Upward Bound program. Responsible for all reporting and evaluation requirements of the program and assist in preparing data on all grant applications for continued funding for the project. Assures the program is operating in line with federal guidelines. Upward Bound is a federally funded program which is currently funded through August 31, 2027. This position is 100% grant funded and will require some evening and/or weekend work as needed. Continued funding is contingent upon a competitive application process. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
Salary range of $50,000 - $53,000 to commensurate with education and experience. Plus, excellent benefit package.

Directly supervise and evaluate two full-time professional staff members, along with 12-14 part-time employees.

Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree will be required, preferably in School Administration, Education, Guidance and Counseling, Curriculum, Instruction, or a related field. Must have experience supervising others and building effective relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff; design, coordination and evaluation of retention programs for low-income and/or disabled students.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A minimum of three years’ experience in one or more of the following: administering federal educational projects (including effective personnel and budget management), counseling and guidance programs designed to work with disadvantaged low-income and first-generation students; evaluation and documentation procedures used by federal projects; familiarity with effective instructional and assessment practices; and experience using student assessment instruments.
