The Public Safety Officer is responsible for providing campus safety and security, and basic public assistance services as needed. This position is governed by law enforcement standards, state and federal laws, and agency policy. Hours for this position vary and may include night and weekends, as needed. Salary/Exemption Status: Salary range of $36,000-$40,000 to commensurate with education and experience. Plus, excellent benefit package. This is a non-exempt position.

Duties and Responsibilities:Patrol assigned area(s) on foot, in assigned motor vehicle, or other specialized vehicle to ensure personal, building, and equipment security, enforce traffic laws, recognize parking violations, and identify safety hazards and violators.

Five years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Prolonged hours of standing and/or walking.
