The exhibition will be open to the public from March 3 through April 30\, 2026\, in the Price Gallery. A public opening reception will be held on Thursday\, March 5\, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. \nThe artists contributing to “Captivating Landscapes” share a deep identification with and inspiration drawn from the natural world. While each maintains a distinct visual language and preferred medium\, their work reflects personal relationships to gardens\, fields\, forests\, foothills\, and waterways. From this common ground\, the artists focus on specific elements within particular landscapes\, interpreting them through selective and intentional processes that reveal layers of meaning beyond first impressions.

The exhibit will be on display in SAAC’s Merkle Gallery from Monday\, March 30 through Thursday\, April 30. An artist reception honoring Goodwin will be held at SAAC on Monday\, April 6 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. \nBorn in El Dorado\, Goodwin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University and now lives in Little Rock. Much of his career was spent working in sales for the photography\, pre-press\, and printing industries\, where he specialized in fine art reproductions. Today\, he works as a full-time artist creating what he affectionately calls “fun art” – bold\, colorful works often centered on cultural and musical themes.

DESCRIPTION:Generously sponsored by Murphy-Pitard Jewelers and All About Flowers\, the fast-paced farce will take the SAAC stage April 10–12 and April 16–18\, bringing a night of laughter\, confusion\, and classic comedy to audiences. \nSet in a large\, tastefully appointed townhouse in Sneden’s Landing\, the story begins when the Deputy Mayor of New York\, Charlie Brock\, has just shot himself. Though it’s only a flesh wound\, the incident sets off a chain reaction of panic and deception among the guests arriving for his tenth wedding anniversary party. With Charlie bleeding in another room and his wife Myra nowhere to be found\, the guests concoct increasingly elaborate explanations\, sending the evening into a whirlwind of mistaken identities\, frantic cover-ups\, and outrageous comedy. Brimming with razor-sharp wit\, slapstick mishaps\, and Simon’s trademark charm\, Rumors by Neil Simon is a laugh-out-loud comedy that proves the truth may be the funniest thing of all.

DESCRIPTION:SAAC will host an “Anniversary Cocktail Party” on Saturday\, April 11 from 5:30–7:00 p.m. prior to the evening performance of “Rumors.” The event will feature a signature drink\, passed canapés and crudités\, and a festive pre-show atmosphere. Murphy-Pitard Jewelers will preview a diamond necklace available for raffle and offer additional pieces for purchase\, while All About Flowers will present cocktail accessories and mixers\, including “Drink Your Flowers” natural flower elixirs\, all priced at $10. \nA centerpiece of the celebration is “The Anniversary Necklace” giveaway: a 14K white gold diamond station necklace featuring 10 round brilliant-cut natural diamonds totaling 2 carats\, valued at $6\,209. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 15 for $100 and may be purchased from SAAC or any board member. The drawing will take place on stage before the final performance on April 18\, 2026. Participants do not need to be present to win. Proceeds benefit SAAC’s educational and theatrical programming.
