Beginning Knitting @ Arkansas Museum of Natural History
August 29 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
In the early part of the 20th century, including the time of the oil boom in South Arkansas, many knit items were handmade since stores with mass produced items weren’t common in the rural areas. Come join a park interpreter to learn the basics of how knitting was done and practice doing those skills yourself. You will leave with a project that you make yourself. The class is designed for ages 12 through adult. Space is limited, so please call the museum ahead of time to reserve a spot and to cover the cost of your class materials.
