The design of the El Dorado High School, opened in 2011, exceeds ADE Standards for 1,600 students with 314,972 sq. ft. of heated/cooled area and an overall layout focused on facilitating efficient circulation, interaction, and staff monitoring.

The Barton Library and Union County Public Library System offer a multitude of services including access to books, audiobooks, high school yearbooks, computers and WiFi, public notary, microfiche and microfilm, genealogy records, meeting or study rooms, and an Arkansas history collection.
