Beginning Sewing @ Arkansas Museum of Natural History
August 22 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
How did people get clothes and other textiles before and during the oil boom? Most of them were handmade, many at home, so the ability to sew was an important skill. Join an interpreter for class in the basics of sewing, including how to operate a sewing machine. You will make a simple project that you will get to take home with you. This class is intended for ages 12 through adult. Space is limited, so please call the museum ahead of time to reserve a spot and to arrange to pay the class fee, which will cover the cost of materials for the project you make.
