Tinker Time for Kids: Spooky Spiders!

This is the season, when the cool winds blow and the sun sets early. Come to the museum and explore the Oil Park with a park interpreter, as we search for one of the popular creatures for this time of year, the spider. Learn especially about the cross spider, which is prevalent in the Oil Park during the autumn months. Also, discover how the 1920s south Arkansas oil boom impacted wildlife during that decade. Then, indulge your creativity by making a spider with glowing eyes, when you use a battery, LEDs, chenille stems, and pom-poms.
