Job Description

The Adult Education Intake and Data will work under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education to provide administrative support to adult education students, instructors, and staff. This full-time position provides student management, data collection, technology support, recruitment, assessments, and student retention efforts. The Specialist helps create a supportive learning environment that promotes student success in adult basic education, GED preparation, English language acquisition, workforce readiness, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Salary: Salary range of $32,000- $34,000 to commensurate with education and experience. Plus, excellent benefit package.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage office responsibilities including phone calls and emails
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, educational records, and documentation
  • Provide student orientation, registration, and intake
  • Help recruit and retain students through outreach and follow-up communication
  • Monitor student progress and report concerns to instructors or program administrators
  • Assist students in accessing online learning platforms, digital literacy tools, and trouble shoot potential problems
  • Support workforce readiness, employability skills, and career pathway activities
  • Assist with IET and workforce training activities as assigned
  • Interpret student assessment scores for proper placement
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Adult Education Director

Required Education and Experience:
  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted when appropriate.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree
  • Experience in adult education, literacy, and workforce education
  • Spanish speaking
  • Experience with learning management systems and data management
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Occasional travel to travel to state trainings and local outreach events
