Job Description

The Opportunity: We are looking for a skilled, safety-minded Electrical & Instrumentation Technician who enjoys solving problems and keeping critical systems running. In this hands-on role, you will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the electrical and instrumentation equipment that supports safe, reliable plant operations. You will work closely with operations, process controls, information technology, and experienced technicians to resolve issues and improve equipment performance.

What You'll Do:

• Install, calibrate, test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain process instrumentation used for control, alarms, and monitoring.
• Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and systems ranging from 12 VDC through 480 VAC, including motor starters and control circuits.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Add or modify logic in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and flow computers within established procedures and authorization levels.
• Partner with Process Controls to resolve PLC and safety instrumented system (SIS) issues.
• Coordinate with Information Technology on industrial communication and connectivity issues.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Work directly with operators to investigate daily equipment issues and restore dependable operation.
• Use hand tools, test equipment, and calibration devices safely and effectively.
• Support experienced technicians, follow established policies and procedures, and provide temporary work coordination or peer leadership when needed.
• Document maintenance activities, findings, and completed work clearly and accurately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Four or more years of related electrical, instrumentation, controls, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems safely and methodically.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and dependable follow-through.

• Industrial process controls, PLCs, flow computers, or safety instrumented systems.
• Calibration and maintenance of pressure, flow, level, temperature, or related process instruments.
• Electrical motor starters, control circuits, industrial communications, and equipment reliability practices.
