Chamber of Commerce Now Taking Applications for Leadership Union County Class 3

The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Leadership Union County Class 3 sponsored by Great Lakes Solutions and Nexans AmerCable. The 10-month program, which begins Feb. 26, is designed to strengthen the community by developing leadership through community interaction, teamwork, networking and hands-on experiences.

Applications are available online at goeldorado.com/leadership and due by Jan. 17. The incoming class will continue with the mission to attract and retain young professionals into our community by continuing a partnership with the New Tech Program of El Dorado High School.

"Developing the leaders of tomorrow is the most important thing we can do as a community,? said Sam Allen, chairman of Leadership Union County and Class 1 graduate. "Leadership Union County provides the opportunity for individuals to work with others to address the challenges that face our community. The end result is informed leaders with the networking skills to make a lasting impact on our community.?

The program is designed for individuals with the potential and interest to be community leaders. The class will meet one full day a month for 10 months and will conclude with a graduation ceremony and presentation of the class project. Applications are available at the Chamber office, 111 W.
