The deadline is quickly approaching for entries in a public art trivia contest sponsored by Murphy USA that offers participants a chance at winning one of five gas cards, totaling $1,000.
The deadline to enter the contest is Saturday and finalists will be invited to a attend a drawing for a chance to win one $500 gas card, one $200 gas card and one of three $100 gas cards from Murphy USA.
The contest is part of an effort to help make people more aware of public art available locally. To participate, people must look at 12 images of a portion of a public art piece, something that can be seen from the street or sidewalk and is in an area open to the public, and correctly identify the address or building name where each can be found.
To enter, visit eldoradoinsider.com/contest, where all images can be seen and an entry form can be filled out and submitted. Entry forms also can be found in the spring edition of the El Dorado Insider and can be returned by mail to Art Trivia, P.O. Box 202, El Dorado, AR 71730 or in person at the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce office at 111 W. Main St. in El Dorado.
Additional clues will be available through the El Dorado Insider’s social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
Winners will be announced on June 22.
