The deadline to nominate someone for Administrative Professional of the Year has been extended until the end of business today.

The El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce is seeking the nominations and the winners will be announced at the chamber’s annual Administrative Professionals Luncheon, which is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 24 at the College Avenue Church of Christ.

Nominations originally were due by last Monday, but the deadline was extended until 4:30 p.m. today to allow for more applicants. Individuals can be nominated by their colleagues for outstanding service, superior performance, exceptional efficiency, integrity and dedication to their company and fellow employees, according to the chamber.

Those eligible are administrative support staff who have been in the position for at least one year. The chamber specifies that the ideal recipient “is an individual who shows concern for and helpfulness to others; has pride in his/ her job; consistently exhibits excellent job performance; performs actions above and beyond the call of duty; has a cooperative attitude; and displays company involvement.”

A special committee will review all nominations and select three finalists, all of whom will be announced at the April 24 luncheon. The winner will then receive a plaque in addition to the recognition.

Forms are available online at goeldorado.com under Chamber of Commerce or at the chamber located at 111 W. Main St. Completed forms can be left at the chamber office or emailed to kaitlyn@goeldorado.com.

All administrative professionals who attend the luncheon will receive a gift and door prizes will be available. Reservations are required and tickets are $20 per person. For more information or for reservations, call 870-863-6113 or email kaitlyn@goeldorado.com.
