EL DORADO — First Financial Centre, located in downtown El Dorado at the corner of Oak and Washington streets, has begun renovating its lower floors to improve the customer experience and update other departments.
The building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was the tallest building in the state of Arkansas at the time of its construction in 1926.
Currently, the building serves as First Financial’s corporate headquarters and features a retail banking branch on the first floor.
“With the additional foot traffic and business growth downtown, we want to expand our retail branch to better serve our local market. Along with the branch expansion, we will be updating areas for our Loan Servicing and Marketing departments,” said Chris Hegi, CEO of First Financial Bank.
Highlights of the renovation include an expanded lobby/retail banking area that will allow better service to customers; an expansion/update of the Loan Servicing Department; and the relocation of the Marketing Department to the newly renovated area.
First Financial Bank has been in business in El Dorado since 1934, offering six retail locations, mortgage/consumer/commercial lending, and investment services.
