The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Kay Smith has been promoted to director of member services.
"In Kay?s almost 11 years of service to this Chamber of Commerce, she has proven herself a valuable member of the team time and again,? said Henry Florsheim, Chamber president & CEO. "She has outstanding relationships with our members, and her skills and personality make her the ideal person to serve as our Director of Member Services.?
In her new position, Smith will cultivate relationships with existing members, be responsible for new member recruitment, work with Chamber volunteers and manage networking events, including the South Arkansas Networking Luncheons and Business After Hours.
Prior to her promotion, Smith was the Chamber?s administrative assistant since 2001. In that role, she took care of a multitude of Chamber needs ranging from answering phones, greeting and helping visitors, and managing disseminating relocation and tourism information to event planning and scheduling room usage for members.
A graduate of El Dorado High School, Smith attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and recently completed Dale Carnegie training. She?s also completed Skill Path ? The Indispensable Assistant training. She is also an officer in the South Arkansas Administrative Professionals (SAAP) association.
