Oil and Gas: Two wells will be drilled in Union County

Oil and gas activity in South Arkansas ticked up a little last week, according to the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission.

Berg, Laney & Brown Company of Camden has renewed and amended its permit for the Smith “B” No. 1. It will be drilled 100 feet FSL and 1,054 feet FEL in Section 12-16S-17W in the Smackover Field of Union County. Permit depth is to 2,300 feet in the Nacatoch Zone. A start date has not been set.

Jerry Langley Oil Company LLC of Smackover will re-enter the Werner No. 1, 2,310 feet FSL and 330 feet in Section 24-16S-17W in the Camp Creek Field of Union County. Total depth will be to 2,600 feet in the Graves Zone. Work began June 18.

Well Completions

ArkLaTx Operating of Smackover has finished the recompletion of the Falla No. 9, Section 31-15S-15W in the Smackover Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was 2,150 feet with perforations between 1,992 and 1,996 feet in the Nacatoch Zone. Daily production is 5 barrels. Work was finished July 22.
