On Sunday night, the El Dorado News-Times press had its final run. Our Goss Urbanite press was installed in the office on North Madison in 1964 and has worked hard for our community ever since. Iva Gail Stafford, production manager, said she was told it was one of the oldest presses still operating in the United States.
Today’s edition was the first of our daily papers to be printed at the Little Rock facilities. Though the majority of the News-Times team will remain here in the El Dorado office on North Madison, we are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our own press and the wonderful people who’ve helped keep it running all these years.
