Attention all children in the area. This one?s for you.

Main Street El Dorado is teaming up with PJ's Coffee and the El Dorado Creamery to bring the live action, stage version of a cartoon classic to South Arkansas.

The Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries Tour will make a stop at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium, 100 W. Eighth, on June 10. Doors open at 6 p.m. and showtime is at 7:00 p.m.

The family musical features one  of America?s most beloved and enduring cartoon franchises: talking great dane Scooby-Doo and the teenage Mystery Inc. Gang, ? Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy.

Using a fun, familiar storyline and colorful costumes and stage designs taken straight from the animated series, the SDLMMT sets the scene with a call to the gang to solve the mystery of a trouble-making ghost that is haunting a local theater.

The show is interactive and engages young audiences by making them feel like they are a part of the action.

Ranked by TV Guide as the fifth greatest cartoon character of all time, Scooby-Doo has enjoyed a successful run of more than four decades in the form of animated TV series and specials, films, video games, comic books, stage plays, etc., and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Booking SDLMMT is part of a new direction MSE is taking this year to bring more shows to El Dorado that are geared toward children and families.

"We are excited to present our first kids production, and it doesn't get any better than Scooby-Doo Live!" said Mark Givens, executive director of Main Street El Dorado.

Tickets for the show are reserved-seating, and they may be purchased by visiting www.mainstreeteldorado.org or calling the MSE office at (870) 862-4747.

Prices are $75 (VIP – Golden Circle, which includes a pre-show Meet and Greet with the cast), $33 (Orchestra), $28 (Parquet), $23 (Loge), and $18 (Balcony)."
