Auditions: SAAC’s Summer Musical Hairspray

Auditions for the community theatre production of “Hairspray” will take place on Monday, May 12, and Tuesday, May 13, with callbacks scheduled for Wednesday, May 14. Auditions will be held in the SAAC lobby, starting with registration at 6pm and auditions beginning at 6:30pm. Directed by local EHS theatre teacher Hannah Davis, “Hairspray” offers roles for 11 characters along with a lively ensemble. Ian Aipperspach, Ph.D., Music Director for Musical Theatre at Ouachita Baptist University, returns to SAAC for the third time but this time as the Music Director and Band Leader for the production.
Auditions are open to anyone aged 17 and older, with the role of Little Inez available for performers aged 14 and up. Both days of auditions are open to attendees, and dancers are specifically encouraged to showcase their talents. Video auditions will also be accepted for those unable to attend in person.
