    The Boomtown Opry is a family friendly event with no alcohol sold during the show. It features a house band led by BJ Kyle, who has toured professionally with Colt Ford, Craig Morgan, Tracy Lawrence, Kellie Pickler and others. Local country duo Southern Koast (Keith Owens and Susan Tolin) provide background vocals.

    Genealogy meeting

    Organized in 1976, the Union County Genealogical Society meets the 2nd Sunday of each month, with the exception of May and December. There is no meeting in December and meets on the 1st Sunday in May.

    Visitors are welcome.
