SAAC Offers Ballet Camp This Summer

The South Arkansas Arts Center announces a new addition to their summer camp roster with “Where the Wild Things Are Ballet Camp? the week of June 4-8. The ballet camp, which is open to students entering grades 1-12, will meet from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The campers will perform the ballet on June 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Callaway Theatre.

The cost of the ballet camp is $80 for SAAC members and $100 for the general public. SAAC?s Creative Arts Academy Summer Camps are sponsored by First Financial Bank.Go to the land where the “Wild Things? are while practicing your plies and releves. Instructors Melissa Spears and Stephanie Lowrey will instruct dance while also working on choreography, costumes, and set design. Pack up your pink or black tights and leotards, your ballet slippers, and your creativity for the trip and let the wild rumpus begin!

This fun, new, camp for dancers is part of “Wild, Wild, SAAC Summer 2012.? Registration is currently underway for all SAAC summer camp offerings.
