Union County voters have a unique opportunity to learn more about the candidates in the four contested races during the Candidate Forum this Thursday, May 10, at City Hall immediately following the El Dorado City Council meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to submit questions to the candidates at the forum, which is sponsored by the Union County Republican Committee, Union County Democratic Committee and the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce.
"The purpose is to provide a forum where the public can interact with candidates for elected office, learn their positions and ask questions,? said Henry Florsheim, president and CEO of the Chamber.

Preliminary plans are underway for a similar forum in the fall for the other races, but a date has not been set.
