Join us for an engaging lunch lecture where we delve into ekphrastic poetry, a powerful form of writing inspired by visual art, sculptures, and images. From classic works like Ode on a Grecian Urn to contemporary interpretations, ekphrastic poetry transforms what we see into vivid language and meaning.
We’ll also touch on shaped poetry, where words take on visual form—be it a tree, a heart, or an abstract design—merging poetry and imagery in unexpected ways.
Led by South Arkansas Poets of the Pines, this session will inspire creativity and offer insight into how poetry and visual art connect. Whether you’re an experienced poet or simply curious, this event invites you to see and create poetry in a new light!
