Tinker Time: Teaching History from the 1920’s Oil Boom through the garden: Prosperous ways to grow food from the ground and then came the oil boom.

Come and learn this fun kid – friendly introduction of the history of gardening in the 1920’s and the effects that the oil boom played on it in south Arkansas. Visitors will have the opportunity learn a little history, while participating in a couple of hands – on gardening projects, that should result in both growth and charted observation. The visitors will learn as south Arkansan’s did in the 1920’s responsibility, teamwork and respect for nature. (Take a tour around the park and see machinery and pictures of equipment used during that time).
